1. They add "shop", "studio" or "official" to my handle
Most of the eleven copies I have found since February 2026 are brennickclay with a word or an underscore bolted on. It reads like a business account I might plausibly run. I do not have a shop account. There is one of me on Instagram, and it is @brennickclay.
2. They run kiln-opening sales I never announced
They repost photos from my real sales, sometimes the same afternoon, and take bank transfers in DMs for pots that are already sitting in someone else's kitchen. I only sell through kiln-opening sales announced on my own accounts, and I never take payment through messages.
3. They reupload my videos with the sound stripped
On TikTok, my throwing videos turn up with the audio removed and a link to a "pottery course". I have never made a paid course. Elsewhere, sites offer a "free download" of my Patreon glaze notebook. Those are bait for card details.
4. They message you first
I don't send messages telling people they won a giveaway and only need to pay for shipping. Several of the fakes do exactly that, with my photos and my name. It is a stranger.
